if I may jump in, it's been a while since I tried Aqua di Cuba, but it struck me as a very dry musk more than a tobacco scent. I thought it was just my nose, and that may still be the case because most folks talk about it being such a great tobacco scent, like cigarette smoke, but it reminded me of Kiehl's Musk, which to me is a very, very dry musk with zero sweetness that most musks have.

To me it actually seems more floral- like some of the "fleur de tabac" frags. Sweet and floral. Perhaps some musk. To me the classic tobacco frag is Bell Antonio by Hilde Soliani. A-Men's Pure Havane is a close second.

Aventus - even tho it is over hyped, this is a very nice fragrance. I would never pay so much for a full bottle, but it's good to have a stash. It's shocking how different my current batch is compared to my old though.
