Hot, windy day on the links. After the shower before heading out for dinner at a favorite oceanside haunt...nothing works quite as well as a healthy dose of Florida Water. It is most surely a tropical thing.

Continued with BB throughout the weekend.

Bobk1, to answer your question, I do get the citrus of this one throughout its life. The pine and pepper are certainly there, but throughout the day I get the sweetness of the citrus wafting through...

Yes, you can get Timorese sandalwood oil there and the best part is that it's sold in 10mL quantities, not just 5mL. One of the best sandalwood oils for the money.

    Mon Precieux Nectar
    parfum
    by Guerlain

pettigrain, bitter almond, jasmine, orange blossom, woods, incense, vanilla, white musk

This was originally released in 2009 only in parfum strength and in a limited number of 1L fountains for $9000. There was supposed to be only 69 bottles made worldwide although rumor has it that there were actually 100. Still, at $9000 there weren't very many places that stocked it and there weren't many buyers, however, they all sold. The Perfumed Court had one and I was lucky to get a good deal on a 15mL decant of this stuff in the original 2009 parfum strength. It will be re-released this year in the EdP strength under Guerlain's Les Parisiennes line.

Although MPN is technically a feminine frag, I enjoy wearing it especially in the summer. And although it's technically a gourmand, it's not overly sweet or candied in a way that turns me off. Instead the slightly confectionate almond and the intoxicating orange blossom and jasmine are rather hypnotizing, making this another one of those "butterfly" perfumes (the ones that give my butterflies). Something about this is nostalgic and a tender "sweet" love, reminding me not anyone in particular but of those sweet, childish, naive "first loves" we experience as children. A light sandalwood/incense joins the ubiquitous Guerlinade vanilla base for a subtle mature finish. One of my favorites.
