GFT Sandalwood. Almost finishing the bottle. Don't think I will replace it.
Agar Aura - Mukhallat Al-Naqi
Haven't worn this one in quite some time, and I'd almost forgotten how good it is. Frankincense, tobacco, rose, sandalwood, bornean oud, and who knows what else. This was the first mukhallat from Agar Aura that I tried, and (like the drugs) it hooked me in.
Was traveling in Nicaragua all last weeks and just getting back to B&B.
My Nicaragua frags were: Puig Agua Brava (very popular locally and available in almost any supermercado); C&S Citrus Paradisi; C&S Cuba and CK One
Today, back in Massachusetts, it's 4711.
Best,
Mike
Le Labo Rose 31
For me this would be an outstanding fragrance if only they would dial down the cumin. I am not a fan of cumin notes in fragrances, and this one has quite a bit of it.

cardamom, coriander, ambrette, carrot, black pepper, elemi, rose, jasmine, orris, aubepin flower, almond milk, violet, leather, sandalwood, amber, white woods, patchouli, oudh, benzoin, vanilla and tonka beanEverything but the kitchen sink, it seems. Actually, despite the dozens of notes listed, I get it fairly simply as rose, violet, vanilla and sandalwood. Who knows what else will show up, I'm only a couple of hours in to it. Although it was conceived as a rose-aoud based perfume, I'm glad to see the violet and sandalwood take a more prominent role. The perfume is named after
Noor Jahan, "known as Mehrunissa, the most powerful Empress of the Mughal dynasty, ... the favorite wife of Emperor Jehangir. She was the true power behind the throne while her husband lived, so much so that after his death her male relatives had her sequestered (in comfort!) for the rest of her life. In her confinement, she devoted herself to the art of perfumery as it had been passed down from her mother."The florals in this were clean and bright, and although I'd be surprised if they weren't synthetic, they come across as very realistic, intensely rich florals. The base notes are subdued, although they may become more prominent later, so I'm looking forward to the drydown to see how this completely evolves. All in all, so far, it's nice, but doesn't wow me.

Givenchy - Monsieur de Givenchy
I ride a motor scooter most of the time. I get between 80-115 miles to the gallon when I do. On those rare days that I drive my old beater of a car, I get 8 miles to the gallon, YMMV, mine sure does.

This is a really great lavender scent. (And strong; if you haven't tried this yet, I'd advise applying it sparingly at first.)
Tried my Creed Windsor. Euch! Started out like mothballs, dry down to a coconut scent. Not long lasting, not pleasant.
God loves you so much, that he made you read this, just to let you know.
Penhaligons Elixir - was not expecting the incense note.
