Default UPD's restore, rescale, repair, etc picture thread

Taking inspiration from Undream's scale thread; I decided it was time I make a photo thread of some of my restores, rescales, repairs, etc, that I've done for my customers over the last several months. So I put together a few photos that I think you guys might enjoy; this thread is intended to give a quick snapshot of some of the work I've done for the many customers I've had while working with Larry of whippeddog.com, just to say Thank You! I try to take pictures for you guys, but sometimes I get caught up in my own momentum and forget to grab the camera during a restore. I hope you will forgive my poor photography skills, they are not even close to those of Undream... just a point-and-shoot and even my phone camera in some cases... Enjoy. Some razors have before and after, some only got pictures afterwords...

A couple of Larry's razors (the twins): Blue Steel and W.S. Brown
    Thanks!

Thanks! Yes it is quite a few pictures, but only a fraction of the number of restorations I've actually done... many of which I simply was so busy that I forgot to take a picture before I mailed them back.
    thanks for looking.

Great restores. The Dubl Duck, C-Mon and Joseph Elliott Congress razors are mine. All were either fleabay or antique store giveaways, bought for almost nothing and with only small expectations that they could be brought back to usefulness. They are in my regular rotation now and are a joy to look at and a real joy to use. The Dubl Duck in particular is a favorite. I think it's the extreme hollow grind of this razor that makes it such a close shaver. Very reasonable pricing, too, by the way.

Awesome razor pornography! That's an amazing amount of work. I am working on my first ever complete restore/rescale. Hopefully I will have a collection half that size some day.

Thanks, you will if you stick with it. That first complete restore is a huge learning experience, I will never get rid of mine, I keep it to remind myself of how far I've come since I started restoring and rescaling. It is very satisfying to shave with a razor you restored, rescaled, and honed all by hand.

Recent addition, 6/8 Erusta 96 Solingen, nearly NOS condition, never honed outside of the factory. This razor had some very slight rust spots along the spine and a few more on the tang, cleaned up nicely. There is one very small spot of surface rust near the edge, at about the halfway point on the blade, this I checked out thoroughly and it checks out ok, it will be removed once I start honing anyway.
