American Crew

I use American Crew After Shave Moisturizer. I've been using it for about 5 years (on and off) and I have to say I've been very satisfied. After I splash on some cold water, it goes on really well. The scent is nice and clean though it only lasts a few hours. I haven't read anyone mention any American Crew products. Just curious. I've also used their cologne (good), shampoo (eh..), conditioner (minty!) and hair gel (excellent). It's just that I can't afford it all the time. I wait for sales at Trade Secret or other salons.

First off, welcome to B&B. I have never used American Crew & wonder sometimes if their shave products are any good. This product & other salon type, mass marketed products don't get alot of love around here....

I sell AC styling products in the shop and I rate them quite highly.

I have some of the shave cream which is a latherless cream. It smells nice and is quite slick but I just don't like it. I pull it out of the cupboard every now and then but never quite get the shave I was hoping for. As for the AS balm/gel stuff, it's ok, quite cooling but the menthol element has caught me out following a quick (read rough) shave and left me with quite a burn.

Overall I reckon Taylors shave creams/soaps outrank Crew and are the same price if not cheaper.

The Aftershave Moistorizer is quite good but there are far superior ones and cheaper.

Regarding the shavingcream... it's not very good, not even as a brushless. There are far superior ones there as well.

Their hairproducts are very good though and I use them daily.

I've used their hair products for many years. I never seem to be without their pomade, and have yet to find another one that can compete. Never tried their other products though.
