AOS ad in Boston

Was walking by an upscale shopping area in Boston known as "Copley Place" when I could not notice this outdoor advertisement.

Maybe this is why their products cost so much. They have to pay off their advertising expenses.

On a side note, years ago their was a Crabtree & Evelyn store in Copley Place. The salesperson told me she loved the AOS store.
The reason was guys use to run out of AOS to her store after they saw the prices.

Proctor & Gamble have some pretty deep pockets. As you said, Copley Place stores demand a pretty good penny for their products. P&G wants the guy and gal who doesn't blink at a $26 dollar shaving soap (even as uninformed first timers who are unaware that AOS soaps are good). No sense in putting that expensive ad in the part of town where the VDH crowd is hanging.

I dropped about $120 in there just before getting married, on our way out of Tiffany's.

Great stuff, especially the tangerine bath soap, but at $18 per bar I doubt I'll be replenishing it.

After my one and only horrible experience at an AoS store here in California, I will never darken their doors again. A retailer has one chance to convince me to spend my money with them and if they blow it, I never patronize the place again. Oh, and when I am in Boston, I frequent Copley Place.

Just went to the one in Macy's in Chicago. Pretty over priced. The sales lady was cool enough and new her products...but to me, unless those items are gifts, I am not spending the $$.

I'm guessing you never shop anywhere that people work off of commission then. I've never been to a place where they aren't pushy. It isn't just AoS.
