Default what can anyone tell me about this Japanese straight.

I mean as in brand and stuff. got this on ebay and I like it alot. Cleaned it up just a bit. I would like to know what it says on the tang if anybody reads Japanese ha ha. the scales are neat but not real nice. would it be a sin to polish this thing up and make nice looking custom scales for it in the future? for now I just shave with it but I think it could be a looker.

I don't thin k you are giving those scales a chance. Some polishing especially the high points will unlock some very nice scales. Maybe sand them 600 then 1000 then buff lightly.

I wonder if those are the original scales of the razor , I have seen many Towa razors and the scales were always with kanji
