The Rule of Five

If your RAD was limited to only five razors, one for each category below, what would they be and why:

Butterfly(TTO) - Aristocrat
2 piece - H20
3 piece - OSS
Adjustable - Fat boy
Stainless - OSS

In reality, only the H20 and OSS are currently getting any use.

2 piece: Merkur 38C
3 piece: Lord LP1822
Adjustable: Fatboy
Stainless: Feather

I have all of these in my den except for the Merkur 38C, and I am unlikely to ever buy a Merkur again.

I really like long handled razors, which is why the Lady Gillette wins out over a regular Superspeed.

I own a Fatboy, but it on average will probably see less than a dozen shaves per year.

I own all of these.

The Fatboy gets used 3-4 times a year.
I refuse to own a Merkur again, so the closest to a 2 piece is one of my straights.
The New Deluxe gets uses maybe once every couple months.
The Feather Popular gets used for travel.
A few other razors get used throughout the year once or twice.
I use a straight about 100 days out of the year and the Feather AS-D1 gets used the other 240 day out of the year.

I'd be more than happy if I had just the Feather AS-D1, and a full hollow ground T.I. straight, or just one of those.

Stainless - any razor that isn't made from steel? no idea really

I'd go open comb, closed comb, R41 2011, adjustable and a slant. Pretty much covers the styles.

3 piece - Feather stainless
Adjustable - Gillette Slim
Stainless - Pils

The only razor I now own is the Slim, having sold all others off. The Pils and Feather are really good too, and look better than the Slim. But performance wise, the Slim beats them out.
