I've heard a few people complain that they received dried out or otherwise questionable tubs from CC. This is not meant as a knock on CC- I purchased 100 Feather blades from them and was very pleased.
At this point, I, for one, would not purchase Taylor creams (which I love) by mail. I get them at Pasteur's, where I, rather shamelessly, open each tub until I find a keeper. Similar quality control and/or storage issues cause me to do the same for Coates. This shouldn't have to be a crap shoot.
