  1. Wink First Time MWF User ...Good Stuff!

I am traditionally a shaving cream guy and have not ventured too far into shaving soaps over the years beyond the freebee pucks you sometimes get when you order something else. After reading so much about it, I decided to take the plunge and buy a puck of MWF. I tried to build a lather in my shaving bowl, but that did not go so well. So, I changed over to a face lathering with better results. While I did not achieve the thick creamy lather I am use to getting with CF's or Penhologan's creams, the overall coverage was good. Then came the moment of truth when the metal met the meat... and wow this stuff is great! I never felt the blade on my skin once the entire shave and my skin was BBS. I could also tell the lanolin was doing its thing because once dried, my skin felt like I just applied a moisturizer or AS balm to it.

All I can say is good stuff!

    Cheers,

    Chris

I have some more expensive soaps and a nice scuttle, but they sit mostly unused while I face-lather everyday with MWF. Been that way for a long while now and I'm well into my second puck of MWF.

It'll get even better. Just keep using it, for a week straight at least. The puck will loosen up, so to speak, and the shaves will get even better.

Will do guys! I may be accused of saying something sacrilegious here, but I think this stuff may be better than the Castle Forbes Lavender Essential Oil shaving cream I have been using for years. ;-)

I was always hesitant to try it. I read about how hard it is to lather especially with hard water , which is what I have. I finally ordered a puck a few weeks ago , put it into an Old Spice mug , and wow !! It lathered like a champ !! I love the scent and what an awesome shave !! MWF will be a permanant soap in my year round rotation. I will be using it this morning after my shower before I go to work.

Should have my first puck of MWF sitting in the mailbox as I type. I'm seriously looking forward to trying it out!

really, really nice stuff. For a twist, every now and then I uberlather it with KMF lavender, and add about 6 drops of glycerin.

MWF is fantastic on it's own DURING the shave, but what I feel really makes it stand out is the effect on the skin AFTER the shave.

MWF is slick, creamy goodness in a puck! Lathering it can be a little finicky sometimes, which is frustrating to me, but even the less-then-ideal lather gives a good shave.
We shall this day light such a candle, by God's grace, as I trust shall never be put out!

If you liked it on Day 1, you should love it after a few more outings. MWF is a top-notch soap.

Definitely great stuff, I've yet to have a time (even on my first try) where it was finicky to lather.
