Default The Benton Clay Canada/UK Walnut/Badger LE Shaving Brush $34.99 shipped

Your limited edition Benton Clay shaving brush is now ready to ship. These days it's hard to find an artisan brush filled with a genuine hand-tied Simpsons knot, but Benton Clay was fortunate enough to procure a small cache from the Isle of Man shortly before Simpsons made the decision to cease supplying their knots to other manufacturers. Your walnut/badger brush is filled with a grade of badger comparable to the Grey and/or Pure Badger found in many Simpons brushes but at a lower price point. The wonderful thing about these hand-tied knots is that, unlike a knot produced by automation, they leave the hair tips untrimmed, meaning a smoother, more luxurious feel than what you'd experience in many brushes filled with this grade of badger. At 23mm, these brushes are on the large side, making for an all-encompassing, pampering shave experience (you can see one in full bloom in image #2).

We have set these knots into walnut handles, lathe-turned in a Mennonite spindle factory and hand-rubbed with multiple coats of Tung oil for a low-lustre gunstock sheen. The handle is modelled off of a classic Canadian-made Fuller brush from the last centrury. These brushes have some heft to them and offer excellent water resistance although full immersion should be avoided. Each handle is unique with its own rustic appearance and subtle imperfections. 30 available. Priced to sell at $25 + $8.99 shipping Can./US. For a limited time I'll include a cotton/bamboo shave towel with each order.

This brush is the Cadillac of Pure Badger brushes...

If you like the scritchy scratchy of Pure Badger knots, this thing is fantastic...

I'm very grateful that Dave let me have a go with this brush (even though Pure badger isn't my thing)

Very well constructed, very attractive, and a fantastic pure badger knot. The loft is set very well for this brush, and it digs into soaps very efficiently.

And, $35 is far less than I imagined it would end up costing...LE, handmade, top of the line Pure Badger knot...this is a steal.

EDIT: Full disclosure...I was provided this brush for free, but I did my best to remain objective. Pure badger isn't my brush of choice, so I did, after using it for a while, pass it along in a PIF, to allow for another opinion to be formed and reported.

Got mine yesterday and used it today. I love it!!! My first pure badger and it's great. I have a best badger and it's a little too floppy for me so this one is perfect. The fact that it is a limited edition and made in Canada sealed the deal. You will not find a nicer Canadian made brush for a better price. Shipping was quick and it was packed well. It was wrapped in a very nice face cloth no less.

I couldn't be happier!! Thank you.

I just got this Brush today and it is great it is flawless there are no scratch's or defect's of any kind on the handle, the Knot to me seem's to feel really good as well not to stiff and not to Soft it feels to like this Brush could be used for Face or Bowl Lathering.

Thanks again to BentonClay for making this excellent product.

I got this brush a couple weeks ago and used it this last weekend. Very, very nice looking and I have to say that the knot is definitely a nicer grade of pure vs others I have tried (Tweezerman, VDH).
