Default Christmas gift advice: Jagger or Kent or...?

    Hello sirs!
I have been reading your forum for a while actually, as a lady, just to learn new things about your nice shaving art and tell them to my ''lazy'' husband who has been eventually converted!
but you know, not using your tools on me, I'm not experienced at all!

the point is: I would like to give him a silvertip brush for christmas (now he's using a pretty nice pure badger from omega); we saw two brushes mainly, the one is from jagger (which we've found out on the forum): http://www.theenglishshavingcompany....@b|0|user||16| and the other is the KENT BK4.

He is looking for a soft brush of course, the size doesn't matter (small ones are not a problem) but I would say, being able at the same time to lathers properly, even if he's using soft creams mainly.
I read here that this jagger looks very nice and kent are good too so I am so undecided!
I don't know what to buy or if looking for a third one to chose from, so any opinions are welcome, I totally trust you more than myself of course!
(forgive my english) and...have a nice day!

I've never used a Jagger, but the BK4 would be incredible. Kent makes very soft and luxurious brushes. I pretty much only use hard soaps so don't buy into that the BK series is best for creams.

The BK4 can handle any creams or soaps. Check out this thread for a collective set of experiences with Kent brushes generally, and specifically the BK/BLK4.

I have both the EJ Medium Silvertip and BK4, and I would definitely recommend the EJ over the BK4 any day, if it was to be one or the other. For me, the Kent is just too soft, whereas the EJ has just the right balance between softness and backbone.

At the risk of repeating what I posted on another thread, I love my new Thater 4125/2 silver tip with black handle. Amazingly luxurious, soft tips, but dense enough to have plenty of backbone. If you think he'd like it's extreme bulb shape, it's a wonderful largish-medium brush. Not cheap, but no doubt he's deserving!

Ciao Francesca! (Il tuo inglese è perfetto, non ti preoccupare...) I can personally recommend Thäter silvertip as one of the most luxurious silvertip brushes in the world. There are some other very good recommendations in here, too. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
    Cheers,
    Francesco
