If I wanted to get a hold of a feather portable on here but couldn't post in the shaving mall, how would I go about doing that? I currently have a fat handled tech and I'm happy with it but I want something with a little shinier and with a case for around the same price. I know they aren't being made anymore but anyone have any ideas?

Take a gander on the BST and look for some deals on a vintage "Tech".
You can go "whole hog" and spend $1000 in 30 days, or you can shop wisely, buy used, and go "no frills" and get out the door for under $50.

You don't NEED $50 aftershaves and colognes... you can get inexpensive aftershaves at your drug store (and likely already do if you're not shaving with electric)
Target actually carries an inexpensive "pure" badger brush for around $15.
You don't need a big-buck shaving bowl or mug... A $3 soup bowl from Big Lots is perfectly adequate.

You can easily do it on the cheap as your father and grandfather did.

Makes perfect sense! But good luck not trying to scoop up every type of razor,shaving cream and soap and aftershave ever made.
If you can fight the temptation, good for you. All im really saying is as crazy as it sounds this is really an enjoyable hobby!
