    Default Are you artistic?

How many artists do we have here, of if you don't think of yourself as a artist, how has an artistic side. Don't be shy, that's the nice thing about art "it's all good" as they say, I would love to see what you are doing. I do mirror art, I will post a few of my pieces to get the ball rolling...

Looks good, I especially like the third one down.

I make music. In addition to playing bass, I make my own electronic music using music software.

I also paint occasionally. Usually just black paint on white canvas. I'll try to post a pic later tonight.

I'm generally somewhat creative/artistic, sometimes I don't have the motivation, drive or means to carry through with my ideas.

Also, I occasionally write songs/poetry. But that's private haha. :)

Nice, that would be cool. There's this style of music emerging (I think it's fairly new) called DJent Step. Pronounced Dee Jent Step. I haven't listened too much to it, but I want to say that it might be similar to what you're looking for.

    BB:

My compliments to you. You are a very creative artist. I don't imagine mirrors are the easiest medium to work with.

As far as I am concerned, I had a hard time drawing my kids a bath when they were little. Thanks for sharing examples of your work.

Congrats. I couldn't be an artist if I had been trained by Van Gogh

Are you talking about "Dub Step"? It sounds very similar to "DJent Step" it is one of the newest from dance/club/house music.

    Here we go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH-8_-0iygE

Perfect example. And apparently it's pronounced gent step (gent and in gentleman). This might be up your alley. Electronic dubsteppy stuff mixed with metal.

And you mentioned dubstep... I love dubstep!

Oh I see I had never heard of that at all, I kinda like the Dubstep stuff but it is a little hard to get used to the beat or lack there of (at least a steady one) I am used to Hardstyle which is much different, but the vid you linked was very cool, thanks.

Yeah, I hear ya. It's not so much the beat that I get caught up on, because I gravitate towards simple beats that have a lot of off beat kind of stuff in it. For me it's getting enough variation so that it's not the same bass patch all the way through. Practice practice practice.

    Cyanotic
Thy Disease - more metal than electo, but still cool
Infected Mushroom - more electro than metal....
    Ministry

Uuuuhh, I'm trying to think of others, it's a crossover genre that's really short on brilliant bands but there are a few
