Comfortable Shave from Super Adjustable

I'm convert (from multi-blade, had been using them for the most part of my life...) to DE.

I had a Feather Stainess, Gillette Tech and a Parker 96R. I get razor burn (and sometime nicks) from all these (who said Feather and Tech is mild ?), especially the Parker...

I nomally do 2 passes (1 WTG & 1 ATG) then buffing for the lower chin.

Recently, I acquired a Gillettte Super Adjustable. I set at 4 for WTG, 2 for ATG and 1 for buffing. I found that I got the most comfortable shave. No cut or burn and a BBS shave !

What did I do wrong with thise fixed head ? angle ? too much pressure ?

Could be a number of things I suppose, Angle, Pressure, Lather. or could even be the blade itself. What kind of blade did you have in the Super Adjustable? I just had a great shave with my Super Adjustable, set on 5 for the first pass, and 3 for the other 2 passes, with an Astra SP in it.

Have you tried with an XTG pass in there as well? I don't normally do one myself, but I do 2 WTG and 1 ATG. Might be worth a try as well.
