Alt-Innsbruck mistake

In an effort to stretch out the life of my bottle of Alt-Innsbruck, I had been adding some Thayer's unscented to the bottle. I have had no complaints, and the scent of the AI was still excellent. Today after shaving, I accidentally had my bottle of cucumber Thayer's on the counter. Without thinking, I poured it in. Immediately, the bottle went milky white, and the smell of the AI lost some of its pungent tobacco. A disappointment. So... watch out, would-be alchemists.

Yikes, do experiments like that in separate containers! AI is expensive stuff to screw around with.

Yes, it wasn't smart. I do think that putting unscented WH into the AI was a success, however. Test it out before you go pouring into the bottle though, for sure.

Eek. Sorry to hear that. I've cut down some aftershaves by adding WH, too, but I always keep the originals in their bottles and do the mixing in a separate bottle.
