Default My fist CA glue finish- pics included

I made my first brush last week and finished it with oil, poly, and wax. Decided to try the CA glue finish with the brush I finished today. I agree, the feel is somewhat "plasticy" in comparison to the other, particularly just an oil and wax finish, but I suspect this brush will be far more water resistant. Open to criticism, of course. Really enjoying this new avenue in my wood turning hobby.

This brush is Osage Orange, one of my favorites.

Compared to the brush I made last week with Argentine Lignum Vitae: oil, poly, and wax with matte finish.

That is actually the best looking wooden handle I ever seen! I'm not really a fan of wood handles, but that is beatiful. If you ever decide to sell it please PM me!

Gissy, I appreciate the offer, but not interested in selling. But I do appreciate the vote of confidence.

Tom- as always, you are too kind.

Nice brush! I really like the color and the pattern of the grain, the shape is very nice as well. It looks to be very ergonomic. I am looking forward to hearing about the durability of the CA finish on your brush. Please keep us updated. Great job.

Love the color on that. Cool cause it is like a butterscotch wood handle. Super sweet. Nice work again Joe.

Joe's work is, indeed, first class.

It's sure easy on the eyes to look at his turnings
