Yes, many soaps & creams are made in the same factory but that's where the similarity ends between SMN & Proraso. I respectfully disagree that they are similar in performance but YMMV.

The new proraso green formula, however, is just as good as SMN in my opinion. Better lather than the old and the menthol and eucalyptus is toned down to the SMN level. It's hard for me to justify the cost of SMN now.
This new formula has me intrigued. Old formula Omega was almost as good as SMN, but old formula Proraso never did much for me. If the new Proraso is as good as the old Omega I will definitely get some and add it to my rotation.
