Is this a Gillette ivorine case? Garage sale item

I bought this case this morning, no marking.
Wonder if it's a Gillette case? Ivorine.
The razor did not come with it, I just put it in so you could see the size.
How do I clean it without damaging it?

that´s a "French Ivory" case, made from celluloid. In that case comes some Gillette Aristocrat razors:

I don't see any place where a pushbutton used to be. I don't think that was ever a Gillette razor case. I've seen other french ivory cases for other things in antique stores, and of course I get excited thinking it's a razor but nope.
