Another recommendation for Bulleit....great bourbon for the price.

Four Roses small batch and Woodford Reserve are a little above the $30 price point but often on sale at your local bev warehouse for less. Can't go wrong with either of these.

hmm.. thanks lucius.. seems like my local LCBO stocks the rittenhouse 100 proof bond for under CAD35. Might go for that instead of the local 40 creek offering :)

What are you people thoughts on alberta premium?

More of a single malt, aged rum (the real havana club 7 yo), bourbon kind of guy but wanting to try some rye.

There are many good Bourbons available for less than $30. I've been on a Bourbon kick lately so several spring readily to mind.

    Four Roses Small Batch
    Elijah Craig 12 Year Old
    Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel
    Evan Williams Single Barrel

Elmer T. Lee is likely my favorite although Elijah Craig is an amazing value.

Grant's Family Reserve in the Triangular bottle. Made by the folks who bring you The Balvenie, and The Glenfiddich, you know it is quite good. I believe the price is under $20 for a 750Ml bottle.
