    Default Any Rule about using valet strop for straights

    I received a nice old auto strop and the leather was in very good
    Shape is there any problem using that to strop my straights not fancy by effective?

    No, but they are quite slim and thin. To tell you the truth, If you had one of those in good nick you could probably sell it for the price of a real strop that was easier to use. (and didn't have folds in it...)

    Never thought of that, figured I use it for both the straight and the Valet...Use what I have instead of investing more. I don't have a lot of experience with straights
    so I am taking my time and slowly breaking in. Thanks for the idea though.
