    Default Croma Blade Review

My first win on a pif was the Croma blades. Goby thank you for the blades. I used my Mama Bears soap, Badger brush, and Fat Boy set on 3. I lathered up after a good hot shower, nice and sudsy slick. I set my razor on 3 and loaded up a croma and did my normal 3 pass shave and it was not horrible but not my favorite blade but far from worst blade. I will see what happens with my next two uses for my normal three uses for a blade maybe blade 2 will get blade set from 3 up to 4 or 5.

My second shave not as free of weepersas my first same soap, same razor same setting. Nice smooth shave but three weepers.

Let us hear about the 3rd shave as well; actually you would need more than one blade to be sure where you stand on these I think. I found them average and not the smoothest but could get 2-3 decent shaves out of the Cromas.

I have three blades figured I would do the 9 shaves with them and see how they are going to do

Just go for it; neither Derbies nor Cromas are my fav but if it came down to these two I would pick Croma without hesitation.

Ok sorry not sure what my puppy did but killed my post for shave 3. Lather with badger brush using col. Conk my wife surprised me with almond. Lathered nice and thick almost like whipped cream it was so thick. I put my fat boy on 3 rather than 4 as shave 2 was rough. I started up and my shave was a bit tugging almost to dull I forwent my second and third passes with that blade and finished with the laser sharp blade I had open. Will give face Sunday off. Start with fresh croma Monday first day off I think since may when I started shaving withde. When I used cart I didn't shave on day off unless I went out

I second the OP - purchased a Croma from Italian Barber - shaves well enough on the first, almost as good on the second day and the third day gets a little tricky and rough. That was in an old Gillette adjustable at 5 or 6. Next week I will try it in my EJ89L but expect only two shaves. It isn't bad but mediocre enough to not want to buy it again...

Works fine with an old-typed opencomb, like vintage Gillette or Merkur 15c!

    My "reseach" (Merkur 15c) ;-)

1st shave: critical and really sharp, this is the "Run In-Shave!", thatīs a natural fact of DE-blades, so pay attention
2nd shave: sharp an less critical
    3nd shave: non critical
4th shave: THE PEAK, WONDERFUL, sharp and so enjoyable
5th shave: less sharp and non critical
    6th shave: breaking down

I've used these German blades on and off for years. I like them.
