Default Could we have matching soap containers?

    This got me thinking...

Could we have matching soap containers?

I notice a lot of members here use generic zip loc or glass containers (Anchor, Pyrex, ..) for storage and/or use.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a set of matching B&B branded containers?

For reference: an earlier thread about this subject.

    Hi Christopher,

I talked to my Potter about 2 weeks ago, right after we last talked, and she had the prototypes ready for the kiln and finish. I will check in with her again, as she owes us more [Orders for] bowls as well [for my store].

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi Christopher:

Finally got the prototype! It looks very similar to the Old Spice mug I sent to the potter. Actually it has to go to another vendor to do the [B & B] etching [on both sides]. I want to send it their way just to make sure they can consistently etch it [pics to follow after etching]. I will write them now to see what they think.

Sounds pretty amazing, Christopher. Not just the mugs, but your hard work going into this. I'm highly interested in this, so if the prototype is classy and good looking, count my dollars in!

Good news! The place that does the etching says it should work fine. So we'll have the natural clay color for the badger and blue for the rest of the mug.
I should have the prototype back soon for photos.

It's nearing up two months later. Any more news, or has a B&B shaving mug fallen through the cracks?

No, this project has not 'fallen through the cracks'. John sent me some pics but I wanted to get all the info (measurements, costs [excluding shipping, ect...), before I post them for comments, ideas, ect...

I've just e-mailed John again for a update and of course; more to follow as developments occur.

These type of projects take an enormous amount of effort and calender time. Considering that everyone involved has a real job, family and other obligations, I am amazed that we get anything at all done.
Sourcing a vendor, discussing minimums and order size, getting a sample made- can eat up most of a year when its done by committee. I would think we would be in good shape if we could get these available in the last quarter of the year. I have no information specific to this project but would urge patience.
Our track record for projects is pretty good so I would imagine this would be worth waiting for!

Although I really have no "place" to put one, and am very late arriving at this particular party, I probably will want to buy one, if it's within the budget I'm stuck with. I will say this, I have REALLY enjoyed the "Barbershop" mug, which is quite large diameter- wise (although I matched it to the Van Der Hagen two-way soap, clear green on one side, pale pink on the other side, and bigger generally in diameter than a normal shave soap).
