Default Unscented anti-perspirants that don't stain clothing

I bought a stick of Mitchum Power Gel Unscented, and while I haven't had any sweat stains, my blue t-shirt that I wear at night has white spots in the underarm area. It might go away if I wash it, but I bought another stick to try. This time it's a Sure Unscented Antiperspirants (AP). Does anyone use an unscented AP that doesn't stain clothing?

I haven't used an anti-perspirant in years; however, I do use an alum block after each shower. No more underarm stains to my t-shirts since the switch in 2006. No problems w/ odors either in case u were wondering.

I switched to a crystal stick about 2 years ago. Works great, no staining at all.

Maybe you could try Vichy Antiperspirant Roll on. I know that it comes in at least three different versions of which one that says "Man" has some kind of very light scent. Scent is not too bad, but it disappears soon after application. The anti odor part works extremely well. I think that one of these other two versions comes unscented but I'm not so sure. For the body odor stopping thing, I think this is the best stuff I tried. Better even than Clinique antiperspirant. That one is very good, comes without scent, but leaves white marks. & it's very expensive.

It's the aluminum drug that is the main, active ingredients in anti-perspirants that is staining your shirts. This is the reason APs are classified as drugs by the FDA, and just plain, regular deodorants are classified as cosmetics. If you want the stains to go away, ditch the AP.

I've been using Alum since 1976 without any side effects if your worried, no stains & no Odor, comparably inexpensive to many deodorants and antiperspirants.

+1 on the alum block here too. After shaving, I rub my 'pits with it as well. And for a scented deodorant, there's generic witch-hazel laced with the EOs of your choice...

I use Dry Idea in the gel form and haven't had any problems at all with staining.

I don't get staining, but I don't wear white shirts, either. Mostly grey....

I think the trick for me has been shaving my pits. Sounds a bit off, but all that deodorant/AP building up in your pit hair rubs off on your shirt. With shaven pits, you need very little to be effective.

I also use Certain-Dri. Its a super strong AP and I apply it before bed (per instructions) maybe 2-3x a week. At first I used it every night for about a week, then scaled right back. It works great and I could probably not use the Speed Stick AP that I use...

My secret is I went to aerosols. Sure comes in one, btw. With a spray can, you can actually hit your underarm skin when you hit the button, instead of smearing it all over your arm hairs and shirt. Almost all aerosols I've found dry clear in 30 seconds or so, too, and then it's shirt-ready.

That said, I've given up on finding an AP that actually works. Tried everything from Lady Speed Stick to Right Guard to Mitchum over the years, and no matter how "strong" they claim to be, I don't notice a difference in dryness. I just don't even wear a T-shirt I care about without an undershirt anymore, and then anxiously toss the drenched thing in the wash at the end of the day.

Although I only use an antiperspirant on weekends, (I use a regular non AP during the week) I use Kiehl's Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant. I feel it works terrificly. It rubs in so there are no marks on my clothing and as for the "yellowing" that tends to come with wearing an AP, I haven't seen any yet on my Hanro undershirts, which I find tends to discolor under the arms quickly if worn with inferior under arm protection.

I just wear t-shirts all year round. Let them take the stains, leaves the shirts spotless. Yes, Sure unscented will leave a stain.

I find that a mild deodorant, shaving my pits, and throwing away old tshirts works better than anything else.
