Vintage de razors , recommendations sought.......

Hi All , I am the big 50 next February and would really like to make a present to myself of a quality vintage de razor to mark the occasion . As I have only been de shaving for 2-3 months my knowledge is limited .
Could any of you out ther recommend any makes and/or models circa 1962 vintage .
Appreciate the help .

How about a Gillette Slim Adjustable...or it's fancier, gold-plated cousin, the Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable. I have the Aristocrat, and it's a beautiful razor and gives a fine shave.

A slim adjustable with a date code of H.

Gold Milord or Gold Aristocrat both are really nice to shave with

My bad. One of those gold models would work- the Executive might be the least expensive.

Definitely 40's style.

Appreciate the advice , just happened to go on e bay and saw a Gillette Slim 1962 (H 1) described as "awesome" , decided to grab it just incase nothing else came along , paid 55 U.S.D. plus postage to U.K.
Will keep eyes open for other suggestions.
