    Default Displays

How many of you are collectors and of what shaving related stuff and how many of you have displays? Besides fleabay and here, where is the best place to search for old Gillettes specifically to add to my collection that I want to display soon- once I actually have a collection worth displaying.
God loves you so much, that he made you read this, just to let you know.

I believe there are a lot of collectors here, and hopefully some will provide you some ideas soon. I'm not a collector, I've just enjoyed trying many different razors to decide which one or ones I liked best.

antique store and flea markets have provided the best finds in the wild for me, now and then an estate sale provides a good find as well

I'm working on a collection, and plan to display in a curio cabinet... something along the lines of this:

    http://www.amazon.com/Hanley-panel-C...8376388&sr=8-9

I'll be displaying a bunch of razors, as well as blade strops, and related shaving stuff. When I get to the point of setting it up, I'll post with lost of pics.

Wish I could say I am a collector...just hate seeing stuff sitting there unused. So I find stuff I like and send the others on to better(user) homes.

I have bought 2 Gillette Countertop displays thinking they would make a good display but Im having second thoughts. They are pretty small, cant really hold razors in boxes, etc. Ima lso a little concerned about cleaning the plastic. Its getting pretty yellow.

Has anyone seen anything interesting that someone has done with these display cases? Do you know if they can be cleaned?
I have been able to gently dremel some small rust spots on the chrome but thats as far as I have gone.

    Thanks. Silverback
