    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to start off thanking everyone for their input and making this site such a great learning tool.

I' m new to the DE side of things and so far so good. I just happened to get some feather blades in the mail today and I love them. I was using Merkur blades and found that the produced a rather less than par shave. My first go at using the Feather blades I found them to be quite sharp and although I had the odd nick I experienced a way better and more enjoyable shave.

Can anyone recommend any other blades that would be a good fit for me?

    Thanks again...

The best bet would be to get a blade sampler pack available from any one of our many fine vendors. Each brand of blade is possibly going to feel different depending on your razor and your face.

If you like a sharp blade like a Feather, then Crystals or Rapira would be a good fit

+1 ... Rotating through a blade sampler is the quickest way to develop razor skills. Each blade shaves a bit differently, and making those micro adjustments in your shaving refines your technic. Of course, it can be a self selected sampler. I'd recommend at least 6 different blades/brands.

Welcome to B&B. Another vote for a blade sampler. One brand that you may want to add to the sampler are the Personna Reds.

definitely on the sampler pack...and beware the feather once you hit the 3rd or 4th shave with it! :)

Blade samplers are good, but as a guy who loved Feathers but may need something a touch milder, the Personna Med Prep blades (or the Lab Blues - same blade, one less mfg step for sterilization) would fit the bill.

Welcome to B&B! I'm newbie but I too would recommend you a sampler pack, and perhaps you might want to include Red Personna, Crystal and (I know, vets, it's a sin) Wilkinson Sword??
