Gave blood today

The Sledgehammer Slant was thirsty. Used an Israeli blue blade. Wow, this thing may not be for me.

Don't give up yet, remember the slant requires a light touch.

My sledge sits in the medicine cabinet waiting, lurking it is thirsty. I have not fed it since acquiring it from a B&B member. In time when I get the courage and experience I will give it a try. Until then I sleep at night with one eye open looking towards the bathroom and the slant-devil that lurks in my medicine cabinet.

Only 2 slant shaves under my belt so far (37G), but I find it is very mild if you keep the handle up and the blade angle low.* If you drop the handle it gets very aggressive - I had a fair bit of irritation that lasted an hour or so. But parts of my face were still perfectly smooth 12 hours later.

* But I guess that's true of most razors.
