Default Just hello from a useless shaver

I was born to the real world of wet shaving in last February. I'm delighted but very very bussy trying to improve my technique. Already have some AD: razors (EJ DE89L, Bluebeards Revenge's Scimitar), blades (Wilkinson, IP, Feather)...

Just wanted to say hello and, please, do excuse my terrible english!

    Welcome!

Your english is fine, no excuses needed.

I'm new here too. There's tons of great information on this board, and some great people too!

The house I bought came with a bunch of vintage Gillette razors, but I still ended buying a fat-handled tech and a 40's super speed. Enjoy the RAD. It's fun.

What a fine house, isn'it? Perfectly accesorized!

If I ever manage to control angle and pressure (I'm exagerating, aren't I?) I think I'll get some vintage razors (properly disinfected) just to treat myself.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to B&B!

I, too, have a Edwin Jagger DE89 - very nice overall razor.

Looking forward to your future posts.

Yes, the EJ DE89L is IMHO very smooth and easy-to-use, perfect tool.

Welcome. I have a real appreciation for English sprinkled with a few, shall we say, foibles. Yours, however, is perfect.

Enjoy your stay and thanks for the hello.

Thanks to all of you for such a warm welcome (to me and my English), I'm feeling home and dry!. And thanks too for the "bienvenidas" in -very nice, I must say- Spanish, gents.

Are your wives/girlfriends as concerned for your mental health regarding angles, pressure, techniques, etc. as my wife is??

Welcome aboard B&B. Hope you enjoy the ride. My wife does not care how I shave just as long as I do not bleed on my clothes or the pillow case. She does, however, appreciate a smooth face.
    My mileage does vary.

What I'm trying to do is convince her of why I have entered into such an apparent nightmare and addiction as wet shaving could be for outsiders!!

I had been wet shaving for decades using "all the trimmings" (cream, badger brush, alum...) except a DE razor. And I got some DFS, actually. But one day I saw the light (the rest of it, I mean) and six months later here I am.

Nobody said great things are simple!!
