Good to see you at B&B (usually see you at SRP) I always thought I had really sensitive skin and I do have some sensitivities but it's not as bad as I thought. I used Proraso Green for months and didn't have any probs. (Side note: my wife has a sensitivity to the Proraso pre/post stuff if she uses it (on her legs) - but it hits her immediately, not later) I have switched to MamaBear soaps and I don't have real issues but do feel a bit of a sting/burn when I use the artificial fragrance soaps versus the essential oil soaps.
When I experience the situation that you describe, it's razor burn. The best answer for me is a little Proraso balm or pre/post (especially if my skin's extra hot/itchy).
Also, my home blended AS:
Masters Bay Rum 25%
Witch Hazel 73%
Pure Glycerine 2%
Also does a nice job to soothe the burn.
It seems to help to use my pasted strop with 25mm diamond paste followed by a good stropping, too. Makes it super sharp and smooth.
