Gillette Aristocrat #16: years of production?

Hello,

my daily driver is a razor I've identified as a Gillette Aristocrat #16, since it looks exactly like this one:

For some time I believed it to be a luxurious Aristocrat #66, and I felt on top of the world, and well... I'm now somewhat disappointed about having discovered it is a lesser cousin

Anyway, I wonder, beside the 1948 date shown in the picture above, what are other known years of production?

Moreover, the razor came into a plain, unbranded and oxidized brass (?) case together with a blade holder. I think the case it's not original, and it lacks its lining too. Do you think these items are worth keeping?

Don't be disappointed, the #16 is more well regarded by some and had a shorter production run than the #66 feel free to move back to the top of the world .
