Unboxing of my shaving-gear package from Mühle

Yesterday I received my package.
A UPS estimation informed me it would most likely be delivered somewhere in the evening.
Track and trace learned it had just left Germany... or was it?
To my surprise and joy, around 12:30 hours the bell sounded.
A modestly sized package just over 1 kilograms with a fresh cardboard smell.
*SNAP* Went my pocketknife, it smelled cardboard blood. It went straight in for the kill.
The tape exposed it's weak points.

MY ORDER FROM MÜHLE:

Nr. R 89
safety razor
double edge razor, closed comb

Nr. 099 M 89
shaving brush, silvertip badger, metal
19 mm, S

Nr. S 971
stand for razor and brush , chrome plated
shaving set stand

Proraso shaving cream 59,5oz 150ml - with eucalyptus oil

Proraso After Shave 3.4oz 100ml - Refreshing after shave splash

Proraso styptic gel - first aid for little cuts

Derby Extra Double Edge Blades - 5 double edge razor blades
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I found a general protection on the outside and individual wrapping of each separate item.
Inside the individual wrappings I found my Proraso in it's normal green-white boxes.
The razor was packed in a cardboard box, nothing fancy, enough to protect it.
The silvertip brush however came in a neat and very sturdy tube.
I guess if you travel a lot it would be a very handy item to protect your beloved silvertip.

This is not a review of the products or the first shave(s), since I just got them.
It's more of a overview/general impression.
It arrives very complete, including a small thank-you-for-purchasing card/note.
Some information on how to handle/care for your brush as well as first use.
Some general information on proper wetshaving.
A shaving journal called "The Shaving Mirror" which is published by Mühle,
which I never knew existed and now must have all editions of.
These guys care about their products, customers and shaving, and it shows.
I read that the handle of the razor is hollow and thus light.
It was heavier then expected, to my relieve. I almost expected something really light with a slightly light head. It has proper weight. You can feel you have something of quality in your hands.
Same goes for the brush; a good weight.
The detailing on the handle is amazing, if you rotate it slowly, the way it reflects light... wow.
The polishing on the set is probably very high.
When I asked them about the products and delivery I got a personal answer from the general manager (together with Andreas Müller) Christian Müller.

Thanks guys. Before purchasing I had lurked here for some time and saw al mantic's video's.
I felt it greatly helped me deciding on what gear to get. I have a small sampler as well, but when i'm through with those 4 blades I think I'll try a large one.

Nice looking gear there. I have an R89 coming from across the pond. Should get it this week. I like the brush and stand.
Mantics videos have sure helped me!
