All India Status Report on Safety Razor Blade Industry

I found this old report (2003-2004) and I thought it to be very interesting as a DE shaver. I thought others might enjoy reading it especially those who are buisness graduates or work in production or manufacturing fields. I did just a quick read picking and choosing areas of interest to read such as the prospects, different types of blades, cost..ect.

Hmm..that map looks more like the business guys use straight razors..either by a barber or at home..and the lower half I am SURE uses the new Gillette Guard Razor as they are VERY cheap and do a great job when compared to other cart razors...great post

You really get a perspect of how much Gillette dominates the whole blade market. From what I could tell and I am not a business major is that they want the DE blade to get at least 5 shaves before it is disposed. It does appear that from this report there is a difference in blades from the type of steel used, to the sharpness of the edge, and the quality control of the manufacture.

Bump as this is an interesting report or analysis of manufacturing DE razor blades.
