Default I've got one of these en route.

Well, after much consideration I pulled the trigger on a Merkur MII from Vintage Blades. I've been getting the best shaves of my life using the techniques I've learned during a year and half or so of DE shaving with various twin blade cartridge razors. Even better the little red bumps at the base of my beard line on my neck that I always struggled trying to get rid of are gone. Contrary to the experience of many, DE's actually caused red bumps on my neck. The twin blade carts don't. I've got an 85 Atra handle and I thought I'd add the MII to my den. It's due to arrive Monday.

BTW, I've found the Wilki Sword carts to give great shaves with the bump fighter handle. I can't wait to try them in the MII. Best of all they cost less than a pack of Feathers.

Congrats, does that just take a standard Trac 2 blade?

It uses any standard Trac II type cart and will use almost any pivoting head twin blade with the included adaptors.

Although the last time I used a cart I got a horrible shave, I'm looking forward to your comments on MII.
