Default Looking for a Brush recommendation...again!

So I find myself considering a new brush. I have a few in my rotation (shavemac 177, Colonel X2L, Semogue 1305, and a Omega).

I generally use the Semogue and the Omega for soaps, the 177 for creams and the X2L for both. The X2L is my favorite.

This time I am interested in something with fairly long total length (I am a committed bowl latherer), I also hope to find a brush that is relatively soft (i.e. close to the feel of the X2L), but a bit more dense with a knot around 23/23. Not interested in a floppy brush or scratchy brush at all.

The leading contender is the Duke 3 but I would be happy for any suggestions/recommendations.

    Thanks in advance B&B!

I would go with a Rudy Vey custom brush!

+1 and have him put a Shavemac D01 knot in it.

Since I have a gift certificate to Royal Shave I am likely leaning towards the Duke 3 in best. Any other suggestions?

Semogue Owners Club 2 band - Long handle, soft tips, good backbone! What else do you need?

If you like the handle of the 1305, you'll love the SOC handle even more, trust me!
I see a red tip and I want it painted black, No colors anymore I want them to turn black

I'm thinking with your description of what you want a nice KH4 would fit the bill.

Best place I've found to look at pictures of them is Jarrod's website who is a vendor here. He shows the actual inventory on the site.

Morris & Forndran, 23mm knot at your loft of choice (I would suggest 45-48mm) in Blonde Badger.

Just missed the deal of the day on it for WCS :( . But WCS has a great listing of all the brushes they carry as well that has some good pictures for you. I will say though if you are ordering from Royal Shave you are limited to pretty much Kent and Vulfix for longer handled brushes...At least that is my thoughts when viewing their site. That is the reason I didn't buy a brush from their site I might add. Just a little limited in terms of brands. That said, depending on how much the gift certificate is for you could always get a Plisson from them ;) .

The WCS special was for a KH2. He's looking for a bigger brush.
