Gillette Aristocrat

Did Gillette make an Aristocrat that looked like a TTO but did not do so? Saw one on Ebay and it looked like a TTO model but the description called for you to twist the handle then flip the doors open with your hands. Sounds like a broken razor to me.

I approach everything on eBay with caution, especially older items. Even more so in the shaving world, in my extremely limited experience (still new), I found a lot of counterfeit product on eBay.

Virtually impossible to "counterfeit" a vintage Gillette . . . mis-identification is another issue, however!

Sellers don't always know what they have, or wish they have something more "marketable" . . . of course, there may be one or two dishonest ones as well. Read carefully, look at the pictures, learn about vintage razors, and check a seller's feedback.

When all else fails, ask your friends at B&B. Welcome aboard, PT!
