    Default Speick EDT

Does the Speick EDT smell pretty close to the Splash? Also, does it last long? I tried a sample of the splash and really liked the performance and the scent. I'm debating whether I should pick up the EDT or the Splash as one of my next purchases.

I have the exact same question. I really like Speick shaving cream and aftershave, and I'm getting ready pick up the EDT.

I have the soap and love it. I've been contemplating picking up the splash and possibly the EdT, but I had the same question. How close are they to the soap?

It is like the cream except less "herbal" and more citrusy. I love the drydown though. I've had mine for about 3 years now, and when I first got it, it immediately struck me as something that would be at home in a Dusseldorf gym locker in 1974.....it's got that sort of vibe. But it's no-nonsense and classic spicy freshness. It's one of my favorites today. And what's best about it is that you can literally douse yourself in it and not offend anyone. It's very neutral and natural-smelling.

The best way I can describe it probably is, if you mixed 4711 and Speick AS, you'd get Speick EDC/EDT.

And I also forgot that it's been reformulated recently. I think the new fragrance (which comes in a new bottle) has an added cinnamon element.

Does the new formula last very long? Or is it gone by the time you walk out of the bathroom?

It smells very much like the splash, but is rather fleeting in nature. The good news is that it is relatively inexpensive (around $20 a bottle) so you can afford to spray on more. A good summer fragrance.

You had to go and ruin it for me... Oh well I'll probably still pick up the AS.

I use both the splash and edt. The aftershave is one of the best out there and the edt matches it perfectly.

As for the staying power of the edt, it lasts a good 8 hours on me but YMMV. I apply a generous amount and coupled with the a/s it lasts the whole day pretty much.

    Get both.

I've heard some bad things about the new Speick EDT, i.e. that it gives headaches, that it smells cheap, that it's harsh. If you like the original EDT, better stock up.
