    Default New Revisor model

For those fans of Revisor, looks like they've released a new model 6-0000.

    Pretty handsome razor for sure!

It has an interesting point there. Almost like a slight barber's notch.

Revisor describes it as a spanish point.

Love spanish points. Very clean and simple look to that razor.

I shave with a stainless Revisor 6/8 every day. I'm a big fan. It's fantastic.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for sharing! A beautiful razor.

    I have three Revisors:
5/8 5-0003 Solingen Extra in blue
5/8 5-0004 Solingen Extra in red
    6/8 6-0029 Prima Solingen

While all three razors are excellent, the 6-0029 is exceptional and in a class all its own. It can get me 95% towards a BBS with one WTG pass. Other than decoration, the new 6-000 blade seems to have the same structural appearance as the 6-0029.

The quality of workmanship of Revisor razors is superb and dealing with Herr Thomas Kronenberg is a very pleasant experience.

For my tastes, Revisor has some of the most beautiful razors currently available in the marketplace. If I were wealthy, I would build a straight razor collection consisting of one each of every 4/8, 5/8, 6/8, and 8/8 Revisor model available. They are truly works of art.

At the minimum, one could build a wonderful 7-day set with seven different models thus experiencing a variety of sizes and styles. Based upon my direct experience, I am sold on Revisors.

Yeah they are really beautiful. I have two of them, and one of them is what I use every day. It doesn't seem like I need to hone it. It's really beautiful.

YEs he is. It's cool to get a package that is hand-address by him. How much in today's world can you buy a product (any product) and buy it directly from the guy who made it? I think it's a wonderful thing.

    I haven't seen a Revisor yet that I don't like.

    Hey Guys,

I am having trouble getting in touch with Thomas Kronenberg / Revisor. I sent him a mail twice ([email protected]) but did not received a response. Is there another way to get in touch?

    Thanks!

How long ago did you send the email? It took me a few days to get a response, but its well worth the wait. I'm sure with that lineup Thomas must be busy! ;)

Just ordered this new model. Being my first Revisor, does anyone know if the blade leaves the factory "shave ready", or will I need to send it away to be honed independently?

I've heard some comes decently honed, but I wouldn't count on it. The one in the picture haven't seen a hone.
You should really start honing David, takes the straight fun to a whole new level!

Blix, my plans are to start learning to hone in the very, very near future.

Mine was not shave ready when I got it. It didn't take to much to get it that way though.

Blix, Been looking around. The Invisible edge, here in the UK, has Naniwa on sale in a range of Grit from 1K to 12K. I know absolutely nothing about honing, hence the delay.
