An observation I've made: if you post a thread in the Barber Shop about a pet peeve or some behavior by your fellow man that drives you up a wall, a custom title is almost sure to come from it.
Take mine, for example...
Custom titles are bestowed, generally speaking, as a good-humoured form of mild ribbing in response to something funny, embarassing or unintended that the member in question posted. Occasionally they are more 'level-headed' rewards for some special service, and of course at a certain level of Contribution one can request a CT.
Short anser: Y
Noooo ... it needs to be in quadruplet. To use one in triplicate, you first need to obtain a Penta-layer Form (blue facillitating custom title change explanation of change release form) D-17 Excemption Request Authorisation Request Form, which must be filled out and countersigned by three Mods. In the event that you cannot get three Mods to countersign, you can submit the form countersigned by Five Stewards along with the Tri-Mod Countersign Penta-layer Form (blue facillitating custom title change explanation of change release form) D-17 Excemption Request Authorisation Request Form Exemption form, which you need submit only in triplicate, but which must be countersigned by four Mods.
... heck, that's the NICE one ... you should have seen what I wanted you to end up with.![]()
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.

This comment has placed an image in my head of a council of solemn, stone-faced moderators in a ghoulishly lit room and seated around a glittering black conference table. You were arguing your case for whatever horrible custom title you wanted to visit upon me, and some other faceless, less malicious moderator seated at the table tried to reason with you and talk you down from your cruel pronouncement. Lightning may or may not have shot from someone's fingertips.
I don't know if that's how it really happened, but that's what your comment put into my mind...

But before that did you fill out the aplication for permission to ask about custom titles.

Five bucks says you have a much funnier and/or crueller one within the week. Drawing the mods attention to oneself is never a good idea!
Just call me Chris.
And all this time I thought David loved Sailor fountain pens...
Is this your homework, Larry?
You just have to go with the flow and accept that you're going to be repeatedly smacked in the face by the paddle creatures under the sand of Vogsphere whenever you have an independent thought.
Resistance is useless!
