  1. Default Pens from Iran/Pakistan available in Canada

University for me has started and I've been trying to search for somewhere to help me in my quest to replace a couple of my fountain pens.

My supply of pens and their inks (In an inkwell or bottles) have come from Iran and Pakistan on a recent trip there and I'm unable to go to either place to top it off. Right now I have 4 Dollar pens and 1 Parker Vector Pen (which is my favorite, it writes well).

My local stores here in Mississauga, I've found only carry Parker Ink for $8, and while the pen's I've used before are Parker's, I've never used their ink before. I prefer Dollar Ink and is the current brand I use. The only Fountain pen I did find was from an unknown company to me, Cross and was going to cost me $40. I usually pay way less for my original pens that I have right now and don't feel like spending that much for a brand I don't know.

What I want to ask here is does anybody know where I could buy either Dollar or Eagle pens and inks? If not where is the easiest supplies of Parker Vectors I can find here in Mississauga, Ontario?

Thank you for all your help!

I strongly suspect that you will have to rely on the internet. You may wish to broaden your vision a little and look at pens from India and China. Both countries produce a variety of interesting pens that may be within your budget.

I'd rather not buy Indian pens. I've had horrid experiences with them.

Check any of the vendors who participate here, they'll all be able to supply you with quality pens and ink at much better prices. They also sell ink samples so you can try a whole bunch before committing to a full bottle.

I got my Dollar 717i somewhere on FPN for $10 but HisNibs still has some for $15.

Good little piston filler from Karachi.

Search for piston fountain pen on ebay. You will get a ton of mislabeled chinese pens with converters but there is one seller that is selling dollar pens from pakistan ~$15 a pen. I like the dollar pens. As for ink, it would probably be worth your while to look at new inks as shipping may be pricey and if the packing is not good it could be really messy. There are a number of internet stores that would carry ink in different varieties. Unless you are getting an iron-gall ink (often labeled registrar's ink) you should have no issues with the ink other than the flow characteristics. Keep in mind all pens are different so your experience with an ink can be quite different from another persons.
