Fires in Texas

With the ongoing drought conditions and high winds that came blew in yeseterday, the Central Texas area is dealing with a great deal of fires right now. Several neighborhoods, including a large area of Bastrop have been evacuated and numerous homes have been lost.

I know that there are a number of B&B members in this area and I personally know one (for sake of privacy I won't say who at this time) who had to evacuate with his family and as of this morning still doesn't know what the status is with his home.

Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated for all those affected.

We've been trying to follow this on the news from Houston. We do have some friends and family in that area, including those of you in my B&B circle of friends. We are praying for you.

We have been watching the news, some of the fires are not far from my house.

I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

We have them in East Texas also.There was one just a couple miles from my house yesterday.I was staring at the smoke thinking to myself do I start throwing stuff in the car but then the firefighters got it put out or at least the part that was near my house.

Hopefully this cold front will bring some rain. We are good here in DFW, but those north are getting it bad.
