Can you use normal shaving soap like a soap stick?

Hi there,

I was just wondering whether you can use a normal soap 'puck' like you would a soap stick? I.e. rubbing the puck over your face and then making a lather with the brush directly on your face.

Thanks,
Asa

Short answer yes.

Instead of picking up the lather using the brush, your beard will do the work.

Sure! It is the same product, but a shave stick is simply in a more convenient form for rubbing on your face.

You can take a puck and slice it into long 1 inch wide sections and wrap a little tin foil around the base and instant shave stick. A little more convienient than rubbing the entire puck, but I prefer to just grate it up into an old deodorant container.

I routinely do this. Palm the puck, dip, and scuff over beard. Prime the brush and build lather on face. Works like a champ. Shave sticks seem really small after getting used to scuffing with a puck, tho.
