    Default Another New Guy......

    Hi,
I'm Ken and I live in Charleston SC. I am 53 and just got into DE shaving about 6 months ago. I best thing about it, is shaving doesn't seem like a "chore" anymore and I find myself looking forward it.
So far a I have a Edwin Jagger DE89BL and a Gillette Tech. I tried a few blades, but so far it seems that the Dorco ST-301s work best for me with either razor. With my face/style of shaving the Feathers tended to leave to many nicks. Derby Extras worked okay in the Tech, but left a few nicks in the DE89BL.
Still trying a few other blades, but I am on the look-out for a reasonable priced Fatboy to try as well....

I found a good deal at an 'overstock' place on a box set with Taylor of Old Bond Sandalwood Shaving Cream and a TOB Pure Badger Brush.
Before I lather I use Musgo Real Lime Glyce soap and 'My Nik is sealed" for the nicks.

Welcome to B&B Ken. I'm sure if one of us told you a year ago that we enjoyed and looked forward to our shave, you've have thought we were nuts, but that's just what happens.

Welcome 2 B&B! The EJ89 is an awesome tool. EJ and I like Shark SC. We have not tried the Dorco ST-301s but will give them a try next time blades are ordered. We are patiently working through a sampler.
