Up for sale today I have the following:
(Forgive the blurred pics. I was using a strange camera. I can post better pics this evening.)
Payment to be by Paypal - no eChecks, please.
SOLD!! 1) Pils all stainless DE razor - $185 ConUS
This razor needs little in the way of introduction. It is a heavy, medium aggressive and very smooth shaver. The version for sale here is the all stainless steel one. It's in great shape, both cosmetically and functionally. No scratches or anything like that.
The finish on the head is not the usual matte finish - rather, this one has a mirror finish. It is marred a bit with some water spots, but they should buff out.
Unlike the two matte ones I've owned previously, this one hasn't had a problem with rusting on the inside of the head. I store the blade in the razor, and don't dry it or anything - and the razor is stored in the bathroom, and I've never had any rust develop. Strange! I can't guarantee that this will continue, but I was certainly pleased with that.
I don't have the box for it anymore, and because of that and the water spots, the price is lower than is usual for these razors in the used market.
TRADED!! 2) Rooney Heritage Stubby 2XL - $160 ConUS
This brush doesn't need much of an introduction. This hair grade is amazing!
It is in great shape. I'm the first user, and it's never shed a single hair and it has been babied. The handle is in good shape and the knot is perfect (28 mm). The bloom is lovely. The only blemish is the slight loss of some of the lettering on the back.
This comes with its box.
SOLD!! 3) Muhle R41 toothcomb razor - $50 ConUS
This is a 'like new' razor. It hasn't seen much use since I got it.
This razor needs very little introduction - just look at the threads in the Safety forum if you need information on it. It is in great shape and can shave really well (in the right hands). The finish is great - it's basically pristine.
It comes with its original box etc.
Sorry about the blurry pic here, I'll get some better ones on later.
SOLD !!4) Vintage 'Genuine water hone' Thuringian - $100 ConUS
This is a really nice vintage Thuringian. The label in the box says it's a 'Genuine Water Hone', but these are generally Escher grade for the most part. I reviewed some of its capabilities in this thread: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...namito+schulze
The box is in okay shape - a little warped. The hone is 5" x 1" x ~1/2".
5) La Grosse Blanche?? Coticule bout - $132 ConUS
FInally I have a coticule that I bought from TSS. It is a nice hone, but I have too many, so this one can go.
Jarrod (from TSS) identified this one as a La Grosse Blanche stone, but I'm not certain that it is. Either way, it is a good hone. Pretty fast on slurry, and pretty slow on water - puts a nice edge on the blades.
It is a nice size, and can be held in the hand for honing. It's about 1 cm thick throughout, and it is slate backed.
