The shaving tool that mainly characterizes a true wet shaver is his shaving brush. :001_cool: And, although many of us own several brushes, each of us has one favourite shaving brush. :001_tt1: During this week only that brush has to appear in your marvellous pics. If you have two favourite brushes, obviously feel free to rotate them! :wink2: I will use my beloved Simpson Duke 3 Best and Chubby 1 Super! :001_wub:

Have a great shave! :straight: And have a great day! :001_smile

I think this blade size is ideal for me. Second time I shave with this beauty - the first time it was my third or fourth straight shave, if I remember correctly. I had ended up with a couple of major weepers, the blade was freshly restored and honed by Neil so her being tack sharp and with my technique still trying to find its whereabouts I just could not let her touch my face without suffering any damage...

Today no problems, a sweet and effortless shave, a lovely blade overall and much more smooth and forgiving that I would have expected. First time with the Tabac after more than a year, very nice as also is of course the Floid Suave after shave locion.

Have a great day and keep those great SOTDs coming from all over the world!

The week is already starting out great. Thank you all for your contributions and for letting me share my humble addition to the party!

This is one of my two favourite brushes, but I can't show the other (H.L. Thäter) until Friday, as I am going to London today.
Tomorrow and Thursday will be my travel gear and Wednesday the barber at Truefitt & Hill will decide what gear to use :w00t:

Monday

Proshave Scuttle
Semogue Owners Club 2-band
Merkur 34G HD with Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge

QCS Key Lime Shaving Cream
Proraso Liquid Cream After Shave

Have some nice days, Gentlemen - I'll be back on Friday :biggrin1:

My favorite brush is this Star restored with an 18mm TGN 2 band finest, but the star of this shave was the La Toja Manantiales soap! I don't know how they accomplish the slick, creamy lather without tallow! Finish it with a Floid splash and Monday is off to a stellar start!

. She took a few laps around the Maruka Kiita last night for a quick refresh and this morning, there wasn't any need for stropping at all. The Rudy Vey whipped up a nice über-violet lather, filling the den with the intoxicating violet scent. What a treat...I loved every moment of this zen shave that ended with a super BBS face

Hi Nick!
You know I wasn't as impressed with it as I thought I'd be. It is definitely hi quality stuff, but the aroma is nothing to write home about and it doesn't seem to last. I love Burt's Bees Bay Rum aftershave so that might tell you something about my preferences. I also have nose problems and don't smell as well as I used to. I know lots of folks love this product.

Hope that helps!

Tim
