Default I went from being a shaving freak to a lazy trimming every other day

I have been working seven days a week, and I never have the energy anymore to go through the ritual. I miss shaving so much, but I just can not set aside the time very much these days to wet shave the correct way, so that I resorted to a beard trimmer every other day. I am miserable

When do you guys shave? I get up at 4:45 and I am out of the house now by 5:30.

Traditional shaving really does suit the self-employed and retired men of leisure. If you have the time it is worth it, IMO. As my technique gets better and better I spend less time shaving. Cutting down on the aftershave stages helps too- most of the time now days I just use witch hazel or Neutrogena.

Don't shave with a trimmer though... ughh. For one thing shaving large amounts of skin with a trimmer is irritating in its own right. Hop down to a CVS and get yourself a Braun Pocket Go and some Lectric Shave at least. I really think it is the gentlemanly thing to do to shave every day. My brother doesn't think he needs to shave every day so he just shaves once or twice a week and he thinks he can't tell, but he's getting older and his whiskers are getting darker and thicker. It makes him look scruffy.

One thing you might do is shave at night. You'll probably be OK in the morning. Then in the afternoon you can touch up with an electric razor if you need to (a portable works OK for that).

    Hi Bryan --

As I recall, electric razors were a no-go for you. Just shave the night before, just before going to sleep. A close shave will last through the next work day.

    All the best.

I also have a hectic work schedule, and busy family life (2 girls will do that to ya) so I shave every night before I go to bed. Once I get the girls down I just in the shower and do my shaving then. It's a great way to end the day and it gets me all relaxed for bed.
