Congratulations, thats a Very good price. I paid quite a bit more than that for mine 4 or 5 years ago. I think you'll find that its a wonderful, fast, lather producer with creams. And its one of the softest brushes I've ever used. You are talking about the silvertip hair, right?

I know a place. Its where I finally found a very nice chrome stand with a large enough opening to accomodate the 31 mm knot on my BK12 brush. Go to www.EmsPlace.com. She's located in Oregon I believe and Em is a very helpful and nice vendor to deal with.

The Bk 4, 8, and 12 are labeled "Pure Badger" but the hair is Silver Tip.

    More info here.

I checked my old order and the one I bought at Ems Place was the size extra large nickel plated stand she has listed now for $18.00. They also have a brass plated one in that size. The size Large was not wide enough to hold my BK12. Its a very nice stand and has held up well for me. Still looks new. By the way,are you sure you are getting the BK12 and not the BK8? I can't understand why the Royal Shave place would sell the BK12 for$80 or $90 cheaper than the BK8. But thats what their website shows. I checked it out this AM.

I was thinking the same thing..is it possible these are factory seconds ? still would be a good deal, blemishes do not denote shedding or anything catastrophic

The price on the site has gone up to $154. when I go to the Royal Brush page for Kent shaving brushes.
It appears that someone at Royal Brush has mixed up the pricing of the BK8 and BK12. The BK8 is selling for $246. Hope you get the BK12 and not the BK8.
