Yes, that's what they originally sold for. The winning bid was $31.55 plus $2.05 shipping making them $6.72 per blade.
The vintage WS blades are very, very good but no, they're not $6.72 a blade good.
+1 Vintage Wilkinson Light Brigades are much better.

I'm thinking a collector is buying them because I can't imagine anyone paying $6.72 a blade to open them up and use them. The same seller sold another pack last week, for $25.50 total: http://cgi.ebay.com/290591862834 And it looks like some of the same bidders on both.

I have used these blades for years and still use them. I have found them to be smooth shavers, but they do not provide the first pass closeness of others such as a Personna 74. Since I use a 3 pass method shaving approach I can get a nice close shave with these blades. I am surprised at the high prices too...Mullard
I use current production Wilkinson Swords and find them to be perfectly acceptable.
I love vintage NOS stainless / platinum DE razor blades, but paying this much for them is CRAZY!
The *74 is a great blade, probably the best blade ever made, but at these prices they are overpriced. I routinely use the P74's, and have PIF'd quite a number of them, but I would consider $1 each to be an exorbitant price.
(OTOH, at nearly $7 apiece, my net worth would take quite a positive bump...
