Default Colorado Springs Noob Checkin' In

    Hello All:
Wow...lots of good info here; glad I found you guys.

I was up in Denver last night doing some back-to-school shopping with my family, and we stumbled into the Art of Shaving store in Park Meadows Mall. We had lots of fun, sampling and smelling everything. Very nice.

I came home with a new interest in (going back to) DE shaving. Something about being that store really triggered some powerful memories...

When I was little, I used to stand on the toilet seat in my Dad's bathroom and talk to him while he was getting ready for work. I'd watch him carefully lather up, and then I'd chatter away while he'd shave with his safety razor. Sometimes, he'd remove the blade and lather up my cheeks and let me "shave," too. Fun!

Years later, when it came time for me to really shave, he gave me my own safety razor. I don't remember what it was -- probably a Gillette Tech. Anyway, I hadn't thought about those times until we were in the AOS store last night. Good memories.

Any way, I'm in. Shopping for a good noob razor -- Gillette Tech or Super Speed -- and getting ready to order a brush, etc.

    See you in the forums.

    chasm,

I'm way jeaslous that you have a AOS store in Denver. We moved from Fountain about a year ago. I didn't discover wet shaving until we moved. Now in E. Arizona I have to order a lot online.
