Hey everyone
Just another newbie checking in. I'm a fairly recent convert to wet shaving. I'd been using some basic 2-blade disposables and made the switch to a DE safety razor. The first few times were interesting. I'm getting in the groove now. I've been using a Merkur razor, Crabtree & Evelyn brush (Edwin Jagger), and Proraso soap.
Since I've decided to take the plunge, I've ordered some D.R. Harris Arlington soap, along with a sample pack of blades and the St. James aftershave from Taylor. Can't wait for everything to get here.
Now, a quick question - is there some restrictions on PMs for newbies? I've tried sending a PM to Rudy Vey 3 times, none of which seem to have taken (I have nothing in "Sent Items"). I'm worried they may be going through and I'll end up spamming the fellow, so I've stopped trying, but I have no idea if any of the messages made it through or not. Any insight?
EDIT: I just saw that we need to set an option when sending a PM for it to be saved in "Sent Items". Boy is my face red. I'll be sure to stop spamming Mr. Vey and just wait for his reply.
Anyway, thanks to anyone who can help, and I'll be sure to enjoy my stay! Sure seems like an interesting place so far...

Your sent items folder will be empty as you have to change the settings for this to happen. Just click "Private Messages" under "Forum" at top of page, then on left hand side, click "General Settings" under "My Account". You will see in the list, "Sent Private Messages". Just activate "Save a copy..."
